A nice little AdWords interface tweak…

Another little tweak of AdWords – goodness but they’re busy of late!

The keyword tool has always been pretty nifty, especially since they put numbers against the keywords sometime last year but the ‘average monthly volume’ was always a bit hopeless. Great as a heads-up, but if you wanted to effectively parse that figure you’d have to hop over to Google Insights for Search and if you had a keyword list of more than, say, 6 words that spelled ‘boredom.’

Thankfully, the yearly pattern – month by month – is now up front and centre in the keyword tool itself.

trendsVery handy when you’re looking at any product where seasonality is a factor. As the rest of AdWords gets a visual overhaul, it’s worth noting how clunky these surviving bits of the old interface now look – this table itself being too narrow and difficult to read as it stands.
